The electrical "conduit"

A bolt, some copper braid, and a hunk of rubber hose

Pass the cooper braid through the hose.

Stuff the rounded end of the bolt into the braid to expand it.

This whole unit just drops over the edge of the tank, with just the stainless tip, and an inch or so of vinyl hose, in the bottom of the barrel.
